SENSORY-FRIENDLY MUSIC AND MOVEMENT CONCERT
Turtle Dance Music has a unique style for working with children. We love people who march to the beat of their own drum. Our flagship program which has been hailed as "fantastic", "fun", "turtle-iffic!" and "the best show we have ever had" is the Sensory-Friendly Music And Movement Concert For Kids! A humorous and animated performance that appeals to children as well as families! The show is incredibly funny and parents have said things like, "My five-year-old loved the show. She never stopped laughing." The show is also designed to be accessible for children and teens with special needs. We have developed all of the activities and techniques in the program based on research from the Autism Intervention and Early Childhood Development Program at Montclair State University and from ideas and schools of thought from New York University, Columbia University and Montclair State University. Mr. Matt is also a certified Autism Intervention and Early Childhood Specialist by the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning. Turtle Dance Music leads the audience through songs that span many genres and decades while accompanying them with hands-on, visual, and sensory experiences that children can take part in. We use several different instruments that children can try out including:
